Gathering 14: Meet Mother Mary

Zoom Recording

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

  1. Mary said “Yes” to God. What do you need to say yes to in your life, as it relates to God?

  2. Why is it so difficult to say yes to what God asks of us?

Activities

A Request from our Dear Father Robert

I would encourage all families to take one minute daily, perhaps at the table at the end of a meal, to pray the Angelus, which includes the fiat and impresses upon our hearts what is important in life, and how our faithfulness can change the world.

The Angelus Prayer

Leader:           The Angel of the Lord declared to Mary:

Response:     And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.

Leader:           Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and                                           blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Response:     Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

                            Amen.

Leader:          Behold the handmaid of the Lord:

Response:     Be it done unto me according to Thy word.

Leader:           Hail Mary...

Leader:           And the Word was made Flesh:

Response:     And dwelt among us.

Leader:          Hail Mary...

Leader:          Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God,

Response:    That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.
