All Baptisms with the English Roman Catholic Parishes of Verdun are celebrated at one of the weekend Masses.  We do not do private Baptisms. 

• Saint Willibrord:  Sunday, 11:15am

• Saint Thomas More:  Saturday, 4:00pm *or* Sunday, 9:30am

We understand that you may have a date for your child's Baptism already in mind.  Pre-baptismal preparation done over 3 sessions is required for baptisms at both parishes, and must be completed before your desired date.  Our current preparation schedule is as follows:

• Summer Baptisms - July 1, 2022 - September 30, 2022, hosted at St Thomas More ​

  • Sunday, June 12:  Session 1

  • Sunday, June 19:  Session 2

  • Sunday, June 26:  Session 3

    • Each Session is from 9:30am-12:00pm and includes attendance at the 9:30am Mass at St Thomas More

Godparents are also required to attend the Preparation Course.  In the event that they are unable to attend, (for example, if they live out of town), they need to receive instruction on the Sacrament of Baptism and the role of godparents from a Roman Catholic Parish local to them, and provide a letter to confirm in writing that they have received this formation.  The parish staff at St Willibrord and St Thomas More are not responsible for coordinating the preparation of godparents at other parishes, and are not responsible for obtaining written confirmations from other parishes.
