Bible Camp

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119 : 105)

The Parish sponsors a Bible camp each summer during the last week in June and the first week in July for the young people from 5 to 14 years of age. The camp goes from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.

Activities at the camp include a Bible story with the pastor each day, crafts, a camp choir, Bible reading, drama, snack and lunch, and prayers. As the Bible is a special gift from God, we desire to pass this treasure to our children.

Our 11th Annual Bible Camp took place June 27 to July 8, 2005. Led by Sister Katherine Coltart C.N.D., 40 children were supervised by adult parishioners with the assistance of some of our CEGEP and university students. They received the great stories in the Word of God in the morning, and after lunch they headed for the pool, except for rain days when back-up programs were ready in the church basement.

With helpers, there were 65 at lunch each day.

“O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.” Psalm (136 : 1)
